Bio
Richard Nattis, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in Cataract, Glaucoma, and laser vision correction surgery. Dr. Nattis has been performing laser refractive surgery (PRK-LASIK) since it was approved by the FDA in 1995. He actively teaches medical and emergency room resident physicians, as well as medical students interested in Ophthalmology. He is one of the first eye surgeons on Long Island certified in Laser Cataract surgery, first performing this technique in 2014. Dr. Nattis is is known as the “Doctor’s doctor” as many of his patients are fellow physicians and their family members. Dr. Nattis has always prided himself on having a personal compassionate relationship with his patients, throughout their treatments or surgeries. He is always accessible and available in Suffolk County Long Island at the SightMD Babylon and West Islip locations.
