Bio
Edward Riegel, M.D. is a board certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who has been practicing ophthalmology for over 35 years. He has performed thousands of micro-surgical procedures, and while he no longer performs surgery for Cataracts and Pterygia his extensive experience helps assist patients in deciding whether or not surgery is appropriate for them. He currently serves as chief of the division of Ophthalmology at South Shore University Hospital. Dr. Riegel takes pride in having taken care of multiple generations of the same family. In his free time he enjoys swimming, cycling, reading biographies, and travel.
