Bio
Andrew Bainnson, M.D. is a board-certified Ophthalmologist who specializes in glaucoma and comprehensive ophthalmology. Dr. Bainnson specializes in the diagnosis and medical and laser treatment of all forms of glaucoma. In addition to glaucoma he also treats most common ophthalmic disorders including but not limited to diabetes, macular degeneration, vascular disorders, cataracts, infections as well as pediatrics. During college and medical school he also performed pharmacology research at the University of Michigan and published his results in the Journal of Pharmacology.
Dr. Bainnson is a Long Island native having grown up in Plainview. He believes that the most rewarding part of his job is making a difference in the lives of his patients. Reminiscing on the dramatic difference his first pair of glasses made represents how passionate Dr. Bainnson is about his work. He believes in the partnership between doctor and patient to ensure the most successful results.
